The first baseball team to move to the City by the Bay in 1958 was originally known as the New York Gothams in 1883.

Until the recent run of championships, what had separated that New York team from the relocated team was their reputation for absolute dominance. Lou Gehrig of the Yankees was famously quoted saying that he would give his right arm to beat the New York Gothams, because they were considered untouchable and so good at the time.

That spirit and team of dominance has once again returned and has restored the franchise to its deserved state of glory. As an homage to the predecessors who laid their foundations of success, this site is dedicated to that originating spirit. Here you will find a stylistic, artistic adaptation, bringing the flare of a bygone era into the present. Culminating in what this site will refer to as the San Francisco Gothams.
